The ABC Factors that Helps a Startup Grow into a Successful Business

Riding on an UBER, I thought for a second – what a great idea it was – Being an aggregator of taxis. An idea that worked because it was unique, well timed, had potential, had backing of somebody with never say die attitude, vision, customer service and of course a pinch of luck.

Making it short, I think, there could be these three ABC factors that may help a startup grow into a successful business – Attitude, Belief & Care.

Attitude

Virgin CEO Richard Branson says — “Building a business is all about doing something to be proud of, bringing talented people together and creating something that’s going to make a real difference to other people’s lives.

That’s an attitude one must posses to make a startup win over probably hundred similar ideas.

Being humble and having a hunger to get critic’s feedback is also a good attitude. Learn from various viewpoints of your industry, and find a unique way to do better than what you are already doing.

Belief

Your idea is a failed idea if you are using your mind but not giving your heart.

Levi Cooperman of Freshbooks shares — “We believed we could do better and that addressed a critical pain point for our small businesses.”

This belief is not a result of miraculous planning or extraordinary detailing. It is result of a belief from the bottom of the heart that my product will work for my client – simple.

Care

How much you care for your customer equals how much you care for your business.

Five Guys CEO Jerry Murrell writes — “We figure our best salesman is our customer. Treat that person right, he’ll walk out the door and sell for you.”

Do less ads, but make really good product. Make less clients, but do make them friends. This could be a perfect foundation for your startup. Always remember, your customer believes in your product and in turn believes in you. Your real success would be when you could keep this trust un-shattered.  Inspire, inform, educate & give great value to your customers – and above all, make him a friend.
